QUEEN OF YOUR CASTLE

395 Queen St South, Hamilton, ON c.1877

I've always had a fondness for the stretch of Queen street between Aberdeen and Amelia, heading up the mountain towards Garth street.   As a child I'd day dream over all the 19th and early 20th century mansions that passed me by as we drove up and down the Queen street hill from our suburban 1970s era mountain home. They all had so much history and character and I was determined to call one my own home one day.

Well determination paid off and in 2006, the year before I got married, my now wife and I purchased No. 378 Queen Street South. We were under 30 years old and felt like we owned our own little castle on the hill -- a mini mansion BIG on character!

When we lived there we never tired of the views to the front, left and right. All the neighbours owned stunning estates. It was FRESH BRICK overload. And one of the most spectacular views was 395 Queen St S -- now offered for sale! We have since moved from our mini castle but this over 4,500 square foot manor would be an impressive (and upgraded) comeback to this prestigious stretch of street in southwest Hamilton.

What dreams (at 395 Queen St S) are made of:

  • Gas fireplace
  • Curved glass windows
  • Arched doors & doorways
  • Iron railings
  • Built in cabinetry
  • Coffered ceilings

Offered at $1,495,000 SOLD
